Project description

The Afzelia Doussie wood of the more than fifty-year-old (first outdoor, later indoor) cycling track was in need of replacement while, at the same time, a valve construction was needed for easy loading and unloading of equipment to the center court.

After a European tender procedure, the work was awarded to SDA Velodromes and satisfactorily completed.
To the idea of Sander Douma, 600 LED lights were mounted along the zero line in the track that are adjustable between 20 and 80 km per hour.

A world hour record by Atty van Duijn in the 75+ age category is the result.
